Overview

Throughout this course you will learn about accounting in large and small businesses, including: spreadsheets, tax, legal essentials, accounting standards and financial management. Upon completion of this course you will have the skills to work in the accounting sector of a large business, or manage the finances of a small business. You will also be eligible to register with the Australian National Institute of Accountants.

Course Structure

This course offers a combination of theory, including current work practices and accounting regulations, and hands-on learning including preparing financial records and reports for simulated business situations.

 

Early Exit Points

• Exit after 21 weeks to earn a Certificate III in Accounts Administration

• Exit after 42 weeks to earn a Certificate IV in Accounting

• Exit after 63 weeks to earn a Diploma of Accounting

Pathway to University

Receive up to 1.25 year’s advanced credit into a University of Tasmania 3-year Bachelor of Business Degree, majoring in Accounting. No IELTS re-sit required.
