Applying to Study

You are welcome to apply directly to us, or by using the services of one of our registered education agents in your country.

You will need:

  • Passport copy
  • Academic transcripts
  • Evidence of English Level
  • Medical Record

 

Dependent Children –  Application Process

The information below is for people who are dependent on another visa holder (such as a parent working or studying in Tasmania). These applications must be emailed directly to info@geti.tas.gov.au

Step 3. Email application to the GETI office at info@geti.tas.gov.au

Dependent child of an International Student and Temporary or Provisional Visa holders

Dependent Child on International Student and temporary or provisional visa holders:

If your child is dependent on your student visa (subclass 500, 572, 573, 574, 575 or 576) and you require an Authority to Enrol for enrolment in a Tasmanian Government School,  please include the following documents in the application:

· Completed Temporary Resident Student Application form
· Passport copies of parent(s) and dependent student(s)
· Immi Grant Notice of parent(s) and dependent student(s)
· Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) of the primary student visa holder (not required if not applying for a student visa)

Dependent Child of Bridging Visa holder

Dependent child on Bridging Visa holder

If your child holds a Bridging Visa, please include the following documents in the application:
· Completed Temporary Resident Student Application form
· Passport copies of parent(s) and dependent student(s)
· Bridging Visa of parent(s) and dependent student(s)
· Prior Immi Grant Notice of parent(s) and dependent student(s)

Please note: Dependent students on a Bridging Visa, are assessed based on their previous visa subclass.
