Study Tour Program (High School)

Our Study Tour program welcomes groups of students from around the world. This experience offers students an opportunity to experience life in Tasmanian schools while developing their English and intercultural skills.

An English-speaking chaperone is required to accompany each study tour group at each host school, to assist with supervision and student support.

Students will attend classes alongside local students and participate in a variety of different subjects. The immersive school experience provides an opportunity for students to learn about Australian culture and develop their English language skills.

The Tasmanian Government managed homestay program is available to students wishing to participate in study tour programs. This authentic living experience enlists welcoming and supportive local families to provide care and assistance to international students.

Dedicated classes focussed on teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) can be arranged. Professional teachers can deliver customised programs based on the students’ age, interests, and varying levels of English understanding.

A dedicated school coordinator is provided to help manage and plan students’ study experience. The coordinator will support students to make the most of their time in school.

Transport to and from the airport is included in the cost of all study tour programs.

Various optional additions are available to customise a study tour program for students.
