Student Services and Support
Support Services for International Students
International student advisors
Schools have dedicated International Student Advisors (ISAs) to support students in their studies. They provide students with: advice on settling into Tasmania, course selection, orientation, and are the first point of contact if students have problems or questions.
School staff
School staff and teachers can provide help with learning support and school activities as well as safety, health, and wellbeing. Most schools have specialist staff, including course counsellors, social workers, psychologists, and support teachers.
Emergency contact
There is an emergency contact line available 24 hours per day, 7 day per week.
Language and learning support
English support for international students is offered in class for students who require it. Many schools offer different levels of English classes to cater for diverse learning needs.
Pre-departure support
Download the Tasmanian Government Schools pre-departure guide here. The guide covers flights, clothing, cost of living, shopping, transport, and other services.
