Study Abroad Program

The Tasmanian Government High Schools offer Study Abroad programs to international students who are looking for an education adventure to follow their personal, cultural, and academic goals all over Tasmania. Students can enrol at our high schools from 3 months (1 term) to 1 year (4 terms), live with a family in homestay, and experience the unique Tasmanian lifestyle.

Further short-term study programs such as Study Tour program is also available to offer a “taster” experience to international students. Please contact info@geti.tas.gov.au to enquire about customised study tour programs.

Entry requirements

There are no minimum English requirements for international students joining our high school Study Abroad program in Tasmania.

Fees and program options

Fees apply to our Study Abroad program. Students may also need to pay additional fees for school uniforms, excursions and tours.
